The one stop spot for crafting and genealogical inspiration

I don't quite know what I expected to find when I started rsearching my family, but I definitely uncovered more family secrets that I could ever have expected. My Great-great-grandfather drowned in the River Thames with an open verdict recorded, my Great-great-great-grandmother committed suicide by throwing herself in the Surrey Canal, my Great-great-grandfather was found guilty of manslaughter and stealing a gold watch and Eric's Great-great-great-grandfather was killed by his son as a result of a drunken brawl.

Sadly we haven't discovered any long lost fortunes or blue blood. I'd love to hear about any surprises anybody else has uncovered.
